Like a cliche, a trope is a common or over used theme or device. A revelation trope all together is probably a re-occuring theme that often happens when a revelation occurs. I can have a eureka moment but the trope would be the re-occuring events that leads to that situation. Movies like The Matrix has many revelations we all may notice and even connect to.
I recently had a revelation at home during the mid winter break as I laid in bed helpless with one leg. I am restricted from doing typical things at home just because my hands are occupied with crutches. My stamina is way low, heavily breathing after "hopping" two avenues. My arms become weary and my left leg starts to catch a cramp. I can't really travel unless i can easily take a bus there or it's not that expensive to go to on a cab. Traveling to school every morning includes eating breakfast inside a taxi, spilling my tea all over my lap. Well my revelation if you didn't already catch it, is realizing how important my legs are to my every day activities. I haven't gone out during the weekends because I am on Vicadin and I can't drink alcohol. Besides that I don't think I would be able to control myself or be coordinated to walk on crutches intoxicated. Parties are also hard to get to and I am a little uncomfortable going to a random person's home visually asking for their hospitality when the hostess is drunk.
From recent events (broken leg), I noticed that a typical trope to have a revelation is a conflict limiting your capabilities. If I didn't break my leg, I wouldn't have realized how important it was and how appreciative I should be. I am an active dude, playing sports and working out almost every other day. I didn't appreciate having both legs then so I always put my body on the line thinking that I am superman and I can be as physical as can be. This revelation of not having a pair of legs cautions me to be more careful in the future. Preventing the conflict would be another trope, more like a post trope from the revelation.
